Meagan Alexander

Meagan Alexander

Hi, my name is Meagan Alexander and I am currently a Biology student at the University of Winnipeg. The project I am working on involves catching, tagging and measuring juvenile lake sturgeon on the Winnipeg River. I live just outside of Winnipeg in the country and really enjoy the outdoors and camping. I like music, watching movies and just hanging out with friends. I was also a student at DRSA in 2005.

*Amanda is an Honorary Alumnus (2005) of the MSA.

Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading, playing guitar and bass, watching movies and hanging around my friends.

Hi. My name is Christine Lacho. I have just finished my fourth year at the University of Winnipeg where I am a biology major. This summer I am working on a project which involves studying the ecology of juvenile Lake Sturgeon on the Winnipeg River. It's great being able to work out on the water every day! I enjoy being outside, swimming, canoeing, and just kicking back at the lake.

I have recently finished a BSc and Post Grad Diploma of Science in Genetics from the University of Otago in New Zealand and I am taking a year off before completing my Masters degree. I am interested in science, philosophy and technology, but also enjoy golfing, kayaking, cricket and rugby. I love music, for which I have fairly eclectic tastes, and I play the guitar. I grew up in New Zealand, but I've spent some time in Canada before coming to work for MSA.

Jason Taylor

Jason Taylor

"Jason, a third round pick (73rd overall) in the 1997 National Football League draft by the Miami Dolphins, has become one of the superstars of the league at his defensive end position." - From Jason Taylor's Official Website

Note: The MSA's Jason Taylor is not in fact the NFL Football Player. Ours is a whole lot more interested in science and apparently has quite the sense of humor.

I finished my General Science degree focused in Zoology and Chemistry in Spring of 2007 and I spent the past winter in Chad, Africa. I am starting my Education degree this fall at the U of M. I grew up on a farm and therefore love being outdoors. Needless to say my project is…indoors. I’m working on the reduction of food pathogens in poultry transportation. We’re doing a lot of microbiology and some physics.
